Given that summer has finally arrived (and because you might need a little rest after those Canada Day celebrations), I thought I’d put together a short list of some of my favourite books (in my first-ever attempt at stop-motion photography!). I admit, these are not your typical summer reads. Instead, they’re intriguing, funny, heartbreaking and worth every minute you spend with them. If you like books that ask you to work a bit, to analyze themes and connect with literary devices, like irony, metafiction, satire or magic realism, then I think you’ll really appreciate these suggestions.
Great post. I’m always looking for book ideas. Love the video!

Thank you so much! It was a huge experiment that I wasn’t quite sure came anywhere close to succeeding.

Thanks for the reading list. I always have books on my nightstand, unfortunately some of them are there for months before I finish them!

Like the creativity, Wish I had time to read, though.

I find it so hard, too, Andrea. I’ve made a pact with myself to read at least some over the course of the year. Notice the word “some” as opposed to an exact number – going easy on myself!
